FAQs

What makes us different from other stage schools?

Stage West is an independent stage school founded and run in Brentford by best friends Laura and Hollie – locally trained, experienced, professional performers & teachers, which offers the very best in Musical Theatre training for children aged 3-16years. With an emphasis on fun & confidence building we draw upon 20+ years of teaching experience & specialise in encouraging personal growth in every student. Having been in the performing industry for 15 years, our independent school aims to share our experiences & network of West End contacts to bring the latest musical theatre trends to class. Surprise guest teachers from various West End shows take workshops throughout & we aim to produce at least 2 performances a year. If you have a budding performer at home we would love to meet them! Please register for a FREE TRIAL to experience what we get up to!

Do you have a uniform?

Mini Stars students should wear lime green T-shirts & black bottoms to class.

Main School students require purple T-shirts along with black bottoms of their choice – leggings, joggers, shorts are preferable.

Company Class students should purchase black logo t-shirts.

All students should wear safe footwear for dancing ie. black plimsolls or trainers.

What should I bring?

Please make sure you arrive to class wearing appropriate clothing and footwear. Mini Stars and Company Class students should bring a named water bottle. Stage West Main School students should also bring a small snack for break time.

What time should I arrive?

Please make sure you arrive 5/10mins before the start of your class.

Please also be prompt to pick your child up at the end of their session.

Any problems, please call Laura on 07834 731132.

Can I stay and watch the class?

If it is your little one’s first time and they are understandably nervous, you may stay for the first five minutes of the class. However, after this time you will be invited to leave them in our capable hands as more often than not children will settle in quicker without the distraction of a parent watching. This also prevents other students from being disrupted. Please rest assured that we will of course call you if necessary.

Is booking necessary?

Yes, you must register your child via our online form so that we can add them to our register for the week you can attend & so that we have all contact/medical information in case of an emergency. If you have any questions prior to your trial session please feel free to call or email us.

Do you run holiday workshops?

Past workshops have included High School Musical, Matilda, Disney’s Descendants, Mary Poppins, Hairspray, Trolls, Encanto, School of Rock to name a few.
